During the rule of  Jarasandha the Vamachar process was very evident.Vamachar is used in Tantrik pooja and includes five M's like Madya(wine)+Mamsa(meat)+Matsya(fish)+ Mudra (cereal)+Maithun(sexual intercourse).Mudra means ritual gesture.King Jarasandha grew to become the ruler who ruled cruelly and later on developed a hostility towards the Lord Krishna. The Kshatriya kings of north India accepted the dominance of Magadh out of the fear. The Kshatriya during those days were called as Atirathas,Amvasthas,Ugras,Vaidehas,Swapakas,Pukkasas,Tenas,Nishadas,Sutas,Ayogyas,Karanas,Vratyas and Chandalas. They arose as  inter mixture of four orders with one another.Magadha was not only the kingdom but the name of castes too, like.,

(1)Sutas:-They make songs in the praise of kings and warriors of the battle.

(2)Vandi:-Inter mixture of Vaisya male and Kshatriya female.

(3)Magadh:-Inter mixture of Vaisya male and Brahman female.

(4)Vamaka:-Inter mixture of Vaisya male and other Verna female.

History depicts that the eighteen royal tribes of Bhojas along with other tribes such as the Surasena, the Bhadraks, the Vodhas, the Salwas, the Patchchvas, the Susthalas, the Mukuttas, and the Kulindas  fled to west due to fear of Jarasandha.King was devoted to Brahminical culture and he never refused any requests of Brahman's .Mridanga, bamboo's flute, bheris, kettledrums, conchshells and gomukha were the musical instruments. The queens were adorned with fine clothing, gold and mukta ornaments, fragrant oils and  flower garlands. Aromatic thick Sandalwood paste was also used frequently. Vedic rituals with loud chantingof Vedic hyms were very common and omnipresent.
